The Lord Is at Hand, pt 2

Philippians 4:13 is often pulled out of context. When walked through carefully, it reveals something profound: the strength promised is not the power to achieve every ambition, but the power to honor Christ in every season, whether we are in abundance or in need. Both test us in different ways. Need tempts us to doubt God. Abundance tempts us to forget him. The invitation here is to anchor ourselves to the truth that the Lord is near, and to discover that in him, we already have everything we truly need.
